How To Handle Harsh Criticism

How To Handle Harsh Criticism !

People have hurled insults at ALLAH, the Exalted, the creator of everything that exists, so what kind of treatment should we, who are full of defects, anticipate from them? You will always have to deal with criticism, which in its avalanche is like an endless war with no end in sight. Your lot in life will be rejection and criticism as long as you contribute, give, produce, and make an impact on people. They won’t stop criticizing you or finding anything wrong with your character unless you find a tunnel under the ground or a ladder that leads to the sky.

Because of this, you should prepare to be hurt, insulted, and criticized if you are an Earthling.

You should also consider the fact that neither a human sitting on the ground nor a dead dog are ever kicked. Therefore, their rage at you can be explained by the fact that you are superior to them in terms of righteousness, wisdom, manners, or fortune. They see you as a transgressor whose sins cannot be atoned for unless you give up your abilities and purge yourself of all admirable traits, making you appear foolish, useless, and harmless in their eyes. They want this outcome for you precisely. So when they abuse you or criticize you, hold your ground and be patient. If their comments cause you pain and you allow them to control you, you will have fulfilled their expectations of you. Instead, show them the most lovely of grace and forgive them.

Turn away from them and don’t let their plans worry you out. Your worth and merit are only increased by their criticism. Undoubtedly, you will not be able to quiet them, but by ignoring their arguments and moving away from them, you will be able to bury their critiques.

“Say: Perish in your rage” (Quran 3:119)

In fact, by enhancing your virtues and honing your skills, you will be able to make them more enraged.

You want the unachievable if you want to be accepted and loved by everyone
